THE REV. BRENDAN E. WILLIAMS, CSJC
Rector | 719.328.1125 ext 308
Fr. Brendan was called to Grace and St. Stephen’s in 2016. He brings to his role as curate an abiding and deep passion for Christian formation, teaching, worship, and spiritual direction rooted in ancient church tradition. His work with our young adults, outreach to the community, and cultivation of contemplative practices is shaped by his conviction that the journey of Christian discipleship is, in its deepest iterations, principally a journey of practice. Fr. Brendan draws daily from a breadth of experiences in the spiritual life, including his ancestral background in Celtic Christian spirituality, and time spent in Eastern Orthodoxy before coming home to the Episcopal Church. He completed his studies for the priesthood at Church Divinity School of the Pacific, is founder and prior of the Benedictine Community of St. John Cassian and co-founder of the international Society for Eastern Rite Anglicanism (SERA). He is a great lover of liturgy and sacred music and in his spare time is a devoted hiker and traditional herbalist. He is also a writer, and holds an MFA in poetry from St. Mary’s College of California.
