- About Us
Choirs for All Ages
Bless, O Lord, us Thy servants who minister in Thy temple. Grant that what we sing with our lips we may believe in our hearts, and what we believe in our hearts we may show forth in our lives. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
The Taylor Choir is the foundation of our music program, continuing a rich musical tradition in both the life of the parish and the larger community.
A brief audition is required, and can be arranged by contacting Deke Polifka. Rehearsals are held Thursday evenings from 7 to 9 pm, September through May. During the summer months, the choir rehearses from 9:15 to 10:15 am on Sundays only. Made up of more than 35 choristers, the choir sings each Sunday for the 10:30 am service of Holy Eucharist and for special services and concerts throughout the year. The repertoire draws heavily from the Anglican tradition, while including many other style periods. The St. Stephen’s & Taylor Choir has recently sung at St. John’s Cathedral (Denver) and with the Colorado Springs Philharmonic in performances of the Verdi Requiem. Members have varying musical backgrounds, ranging from amateur music-lover to professional musicians and educators, and a good number participate in other ensembles around Colorado Springs.YOUTH CHOIRS
