The church and office are located at 601-631 North Tejon Street, between Monument and Willamette Streets.

Street parking abounds around the church. On Sundays, there is no fee for metered spaces. Handicap parking spots are located near the corner of N. Tejon St. and Monument St., with wheelchair access located at the northeast corner of the church building.

On Sundays centuries-old rituals and God’s message of hope and love combine to inspire and challenge us to face a noisy, complicated world with grace and love.

We welcome you to participate in and experience a transformative order of worship, beautiful choral music, vibrant congregational singing, and inspiring sounds from the organ. The order for the service--prayers, hymns and lessons—are provided in a bulletin so that all may participate as they wish.

At the 10:30 am service, children join the a member of the clergy for the children’s sermon after Sunday School, and then join their families for the remainder of the service.

Following either service, hospitality hour in the parish hall gives everyone a chance to connect with old friends, make new ones and weave more threads into the fabric of our parish life.

Ushers at the back of the church are available at anytime to answer any questions. We hope you will help us welcome you personally by completing the Contact Us form.

Choirs for All Ages

Bless, O Lord, us Thy servants who minister in Thy temple. Grant that what we sing with our lips we may believe in our hearts, and what we believe in our hearts we may show forth in our lives. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
For Adults2014-music-adultchoir-sanctuary_mg_0409-j432x172.jpg

The Taylor Choir is the foundation of our music program, continuing a rich musical tradition in both the life of the parish and the larger community.

A brief audition is required, and can be arranged by contacting Deke Polifka. Rehearsals are held Thursday evenings from 7 to 9 pm, September through May. During the summer months, the choir rehearses from 9:15 to 10:15 am on Sundays only. Made up of more than 35 choristers, the choir sings each Sunday for the 10:30 am service of Holy Eucharist and for special services and concerts throughout the year. The repertoire draws heavily from the Anglican tradition, while including many other style periods. The St. Stephen’s & Taylor Choir has recently sung at St. John’s Cathedral (Denver) and with the Colorado Springs Philharmonic in performances of the Verdi Requiem. Members have varying musical backgrounds, ranging from amateur music-lover to professional musicians and educators, and a good number participate in other ensembles around Colorado Springs.

Many of the choristers also participate in a free music training program, affiliated with the Royal School of Church Music in England, which provides instruction in music theory, vocal skills and sight singing. Each summer, they participate in Choir Camp, a sleep-away experience in the mountains which includes singing, worship, arts/crafts, Bible study and many other fun activities.
