Outreach

Love Your Neighbor

The ministry of outreach—heeding God’s call to serve our community and the world—is central to our vitality and health as the Body of Christ. Christ’s command to care for the least among us is not the only reason for our care and acts of faith: We are promised new life when we give of ourselves by following Christ and participating in the kingdom of God by breaking out among us and in our lives.

Join us in working, praying, and giving to spread the kingdom of God. Your time, your prayers and your gifts are all needed as we strive to be Christ’s hands and feet in the world.

We partner with Columbia Elementary School to support the students and their families -- many of whom are homeless. We collect and provide a wide range of items from after-school snacks and personal hygiene items to books and coats.

GRACE SOWERS

Committed to changing the dynamic of poor eating for those in need, we’re a faithful (and fearless) group of gardeners growing produce in a small -- and productive -- growing space here on campus and in our backyards. We occasionally offer GSA (Grace-supported agriculture) markets after services on Sundays, sharing produce for donation with funds going directly to supporting healthy choices for hungry neighbors and partnering with Freshfoodconnect.org to deliver excess produce to neighbors.

INTERFAITH BUILDS FOR UNITY/ HABITAT FOR HUMANITY

Working with people from all faiths, we assist in the building of a home for an individual or family who otherwise would not be afforded a “homeowners” opportunity.

Sandwich Sundays

On the first Sunday of each month, all are invited to join us to assemble bag lunches that are delivered Springs Rescue Mission for distribution to our homeless neighbors. Everything needed is provided by the Outreach Committee -- expect for helping hands and loving hearts.
