One Hundred Years of Grace: 1923-2023

…a church is built “of human souls, knit together by the Spirit of God.”

— The Rev. Chauncey H. Blodgett, Co-Rector 1923

100 years ago, Grace Church and St. Stephen’s Parish joined their congregations as they sought to strengthen their ministries in the then-growing town of Colorado Springs. That legacy lives on today, as Grace and St. Stephen’s — a thriving place of worship, service and community in the heart of downtown. We celebrate the history of our parish, cast our eyes to heaven asking God to bless our present and our future and invite you to pray with us:

Gracious God, we give thanks as we celebrate the 100th anniversary of Grace and St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church.

Deepen within each of us a sense of gratitude for the heritage created by the many sacrifices, dreams, and prayers of those who have gone before us.

Continue to make this church and its people a blessing to our community and embolden us to move forward with strength toward what lies ahead.

Through our continued faithfulness and prayers, continue to bless the work of Your Church, making this parish truly a shining light in our city for many years to come.

Make our sacred space a place of refreshment and strength for those who seek solace and comfort in a fractious and difficult world.

Create in us renewed hearts that can dream of a future as bright and generous as our past.

We ask all this through your generous, timeless grace, Great Lover of Souls.  -- Amen
