Be Still. Be Restored.
The service of Choral Compline, the final service of the monastic day, dates back centuries. Seated in a dark space, lit only with candles and surrounded by the lingering perfume of incense, this contemplative worship gives us pause from the hectic pace of our lives. Ancient chants and beautiful polyphonic motets, performed by an octet of professional voices, speak of gratitude for the day just passed, and ask for God’s protection through the dark night.
